1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files or pieces of information stored on or accessed from the user's device when visiting a website. Depending on the implementation, the website may also use similar technologies such as browser local storage, technical identifiers, pixels, tags or SDKs.
These technologies may be used for shopping-cart operation, maintaining the session, authentication, fraud prevention, remembering preferences, measuring performance, statistics or, with the required consent, advertising and campaign measurement.
2. Legal basis for the use of cookies
The use of cookies and access to information stored on terminal equipment are governed primarily by Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, which transposes into Romanian law the European rules on privacy in electronic communications.
General rule: for cookies that are not strictly necessary, clear and complete information must be provided in advance and, where the law requires it, valid consent must be obtained before information is stored on or accessed from the device.
Where information associated with cookies constitutes personal data, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) also applies, including the rules on transparency, consent, data-subject rights and withdrawal of consent.

Preferences and functionality
May remember choices such as language, display settings, compared products or other options that improve the user experience.

May measure how the website is used, which pages are accessed and technical performance in order to help us improve the store.
Marketing and advertising
May be used for campaign measurement, remarketing, conversion attribution or advertising personalisation only to the extent permitted and where the required consent exists.
4. Technical and strictly necessary cookies

5. Analytics cookies and performance measurement
If enabled, analytics tools may collect information about visits, pages, device, browser, traffic source and events relevant to the operation of the store. Where these technologies require consent, they must not be activated before the user has expressed a choice.
Measurement data may be used for statistics, diagnosing errors, improving navigation and evaluating the performance of the website and campaigns.
6. Marketing, advertising and conversion-attribution cookies
When we use online advertising services, they may use cookies or identifiers to measure conversions, limit advertising frequency, attribute campaigns and, only where permitted and accepted, perform remarketing or personalise advertising.
Refusing marketing cookies does not prevent access to the essential functions of the store.
7. Google Tag Manager and other tag-management systems
Recosport online stores may use a tag-management system, including Google Tag Manager, to load and manage technical, analytics or marketing scripts.
Important: a tag manager does not change the obligation to obtain consent where a tag loaded through it uses non-essential cookies or technologies. The configuration must prevent such tags from being activated before consent where consent is required.
8. Cookie duration and third-party access
Cookies may be session cookies, removed when the browser is closed, or persistent cookies, remaining on the device for a defined period or until deleted. Their duration should be proportionate to the purpose for which the cookie is used.
Some cookies may be set directly by Recosport and others by third-party providers whose services are integrated into the website. For each non-essential technology, the user should be able to find out the provider, purpose, duration and whether third parties have access to the collected information.

9. How you give or withdraw consent
